Walkstone Privacy Policy

Walkstone (formerly ScreenRock, "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

1. Step count from Health

So that your walking can grind your stones, the app reads your step count from Apple Health (HealthKit). It reads step count only and never writes to Health.

• Steps are used only on your device, to work out how far your stones have been ground and to show today's steps.
• Steps and other Health information are never sent to or stored on the developer's servers, any third party including RevenueCat, or iCloud.
• They are never used for advertising or marketing, and never sold.
• You can revoke read access at any time in the iPhone Settings app under Health → Data Access & Devices.

2. Motion & Fitness

When Health steps are not available (for example, if you have not allowed reading them), the app instead reads the last seven days of steps recorded by your iPhone to work out how far your stones have been ground. While the app is open, it also detects whether you are walking, to play the rolling-stone effect. This information is used only on your device and is never sent anywhere.

3. Information stored on your device

The app stores the stones you carry and have finished, how far each has been ground, and the stone images shown on your shelf only on your device. This information is never sent to the developer's servers. Deleting the app removes it from your device.

4. In-app purchases

Stones are purchased through Apple's App Store. Neither the app nor the developer receives your payment details, such as card numbers.

To verify and restore purchases, the app uses a service provided by RevenueCat, Inc. The following information is sent to RevenueCat. It never includes steps or other Health information.

• Purchase and transaction information, such as the product purchased and the time of the transaction
• A random anonymous ID generated by the app, which is not linked to your name or email address
• Basic device and app information, such as OS and app versions and language and region settings, and the IP address that accompanies network communication

This information is used to verify and restore purchases, and to produce aggregate sales figures that the developer views in RevenueCat's dashboard, such as how many of each stone have been sold. It is not used to identify you. For how RevenueCat handles it, see RevenueCat's privacy policy.

5. Information the app does not handle

The app has no accounts, shows no ads, performs no usage analytics, and does not access your location, contacts, or photos. It does not track you across other apps or websites. Your information is never sold to third parties.

6. Deleting your information

Information on your device is removed when you delete the app. Your step data itself lives in Health, not in the app, and the app never changes or deletes it. To request deletion of information associated with the anonymous ID sent to RevenueCat, please contact us using the details below.

7. Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated content and its effective date will be posted on this page.
